Revision to Bylaw

Motion: USATT Bylaw Change

Moved that USATT Bylaws be amended by the addition of Article VIII, Section
16, Subsection N, to read as follows:

1. Notwithstanding any language in these Bylaws to the contrary, all
deadlines pertaining to the 2006 election of Directors are hereby set
aside. The Nominating and Elections Committee will use the following dates as goals for conducting the 2006 Election of Directors:
The Names selected by the Nominating and Elections Committee will be forwarded to the Board on Thursday, October 19, but not before approval of these Bylaw changes. At that time the committee will also forward to the Board the names of those potential candidates who were Nominated but not selected to be on the ballot. All potential nominees will be notified at the time the Board is notified.
All petition signatures and emails must be received by the Chair of the Nominating and Elections Committee by Monday, October 23
By Wednesday, October 25, the Board will be notified of any Nominees who were qualified to be on the ballot by petition.
By Friday, October 27, the Board will approve or reject the Nominating and Elections committee recommendations for the Board, and may add up to one name to the ballot per position.
The Ballots will be mailed to the USATT members by Friday, November 3rd.
All ballots must be received by the Accounting firm by Friday December 9th.
The results of the election will be reported to the Board by Tuesday December 12th by the Chairman of the Nominating and Elections Committee.
For the 2006 Election alone, the incumbent board members will maintain their status as Board members until the election results have been reported. The results of the election will be effective at the time they are reported to the Board.
These dates are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Nominating and Elections Committee.

2. Notwithstanding the provisions in Subsection K of this section shall
be amended to read as follows: 
K. Candidates not selected by the Nominating and Elections Committee shall
be included on the ballot if petitions signed by at least 100 adult members
are submitted in accordance with the Standing Rules, if emails from at
least 100 adult members are sent to the Chair of the Nominating and Elections
Committee, or if any combination of petition signatures and emails of 100
adult members are submitted. Petitions must be submitted on approved forms
to the Nominating Chairman no later than a date specified by the Nominating Committee. Nominating emails must include the same member information required
to accompany a petition signature.
3. These amended Subsections K and N shall automatically be repealed
after the conclusion of this election and the results are published.

Closing date for voting: Thursday October 19, 2006 Noon Mountain Time or as
soon as everyone has registered their vote.
